PatientOnLine is a tool that supports the clinician in decision-making by bringing together all components needed to deliver a high-quality peritoneal dialysis (PD) treatment. It goes beyond a management system for patients’ medical and personal data by offering an integrated tool that is intended to manage PD therapy.

PatientOnLine integrates the entire PD therapy process with clinical assessment tools that fit easily into your daily routine. This software captures data to give a a complete overview and control over all PD components.

With PatientOnLine you can:

• Manage medical data including exit-sites status, catheter implantation, peritonitis rates and comorbidities
• Perform a variety of adequacy tests, peritoneal function testing (PFT), peritoneal equilibration test (PET) and 24-hour batch tests
• Edit prescriptions for both continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD) and automated peritoneal dialysis (APD) modalities
• Download and evaluate treatment outcomes for APD
• Perform advanced prescription modelling
• Perform fluid management with the body composition monitor (BCM), and use these results in the adequacy module

TDMS, which includes a combination of hardware and software components, provides a seamless connection between dialysis and information technology. It prepares and pre-sets the dialysis devices prior to therapy and records vital information as follows:

• The patient's weight before and after dialysis Details of the treatment process
• Additional laboratory tests performed during dialysis
• Medication doses
• Events during dialysis
• Predefined workflows (in checklist format)

TDMS enables the therapy manager to:

• Create and edit dialysis treatment prescriptions

The 4008S Next Generation haemodialysis machine and the 5008/5008S/6008 therapy system combined with TDMS have been designed to be compatible with a variety of external medical devices such as scales and analysers. The modular design of the system also allows for a variety of options and combinations with other information technology systems.
